Terms of Service — My Spending Register

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of My Spending Register ("MSR," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

Description of Service

MSR is a personal transaction register and cash-flow tracking tool. MSR is not a bank, financial institution, or payment processor: it does not connect to your bank accounts, does not move money, and does not initiate transactions. All balances and figures shown are calculated from information you manually enter or import — MSR does not verify this information against your actual bank records. MSR does not provide financial, tax, or investment advice.

Account Registration & Responsibilities

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use MSR for any unlawful purpose, attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt the service, or attempt to access another user's data.

Your Data & Content

The financial data you enter or import into MSR (account details, transactions) remains yours. By using MSR, you grant us the limited license needed to store, process, and display that data back to you as part of providing the service. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.

Free and Pro Tiers

MSR currently offers its core register functionality free of charge. A paid "Pro" tier is planned, covering data export options, inter-account transfers, and other convenience features — pricing and billing terms will be added here before the Pro tier launches. Nothing in the current Free tier requires payment.

Disclaimers

MSR is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that balances or figures shown in the app are complete, accurate, or up to date — they reflect only what you have entered or imported. You are responsible for verifying your actual account status directly with your bank.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any financial decisions, losses, or damages arising from your use of MSR or reliance on information it displays.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the service. You may delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently removes your data (see Privacy Policy).

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as MSR evolves. We'll update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
